This approach recognises the inherent abilities of each individual to reach towards their potential.
It can help you to discover your way through life's difficult situations of whatever kind and create a more holistic life.
In a safe, non-judgemental and confidential environment, person centred counselling can help you to come to terms with the past, understand the present, make changes, and improve your life.
It enables you to look realistically at your hopes and dreams for the future and can enable and empower you as you look to build your emotional and spiritual life.
The core conditions of Client Centred Counselling, that of empathy, respect and congruence, are offered to all people irrespective of their faith or beliefs.
"Individuals have within themselves vast resources for self-understanding and for altering their self concepts, basic attitudes, and self directed behaviour."

Appointments for Counselling:
Initial contact can be made by phone or email (ian@wessexclc.co.uk). If you phone (01202 2480400) and I am not available please leave a message on my private answer service and I will contact you as soon as possible. I will not identify the reason for my call to anyone else unless you have indicated this is acceptable.
Counselling sessions are usually of 50 minutes duration. My fees are normally £35 (concessions may be available). The frequency of the sessions is negotiable.
If you prefer telephone counselling rather than face to face this is also available. Again the length of each session is 50 minutes with fees as above.
Counselling Supervision:
Person Centred Supervision is an ideal format for all supervision requirements. It focuses on how you the therapist are, with your client, enabling you to be more empathic and provide the right therapeutic relationship and conditions for your client to grow and move towards wholeness.
As with counselling this can be either face to face or by telephone.
The frequency of the sessions can be negotiated according to your supervision requirements.
Contact Ian Challis for further details and to discuss your options.
